Gus MacPherson made another signing this afternoon when he snapped up Stephen Simmons. The ex-Hearts and Dunfermline defender was with Raith Rovers last season and just missed out on promotion. In 2008 he actually spent a few months at Palmerston.
Said the manager, "He`s a quality player and I`ve always admired him. He should really be playing at a higher level."
Added Stephen himself, "I just put `pen to paper` less than an hour ago. I had a brief spell with Queens before and enjoyed my time there. When Gus approached me I had little hesitation in saying Yes!"
