Queens dump out Rangers at Ibrox

After Queen of the South`s dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Rangers at Ibrox Allan Johnston was understandably delighted with the result.

"I`m just delighted for the boys, I think they got their just rewards come the end of the match.

"We just wanted to play our usual game, play them high up the park.  When they went down to ten men I think we switched off a bit and obviously they got their goal but all credit to the boys to show the determination and skill to get it back.

"Rangers definitely didnt underestimate us.  I know for a fact they prepared well for us, they had us watched but in the end our `never-say-die` attitude won through."

Rangers manager Ally McCoist: "Its a sore one thats for sure. To get knocked out on penalties its obviously very disappointing.

"I`m not sure there was much between the teams.  I thought we`d done enough once we got ourselves in front.  I`ve been told there was some controversy about their goal but the manner we lost the goal was disappointing.

"Queens were a really good side and Allan Johnston had them well organised."
