The Week Ahead

Walking football again gets things underway at Palmerston this week.  The "leisurely" game for the over 55s starts at 10am in the QOS Arena at costs £3.00 per person.

In the afternoon, the reserves have a cup tie against Dunfermline Athletic.  The game will take place at New Central Park and has a 2pm kick off.

On Tuesday, the Community team take the clubs school programme to Troqueer Primary for an hour from quarter past one.  

In the evening the youth sides have the first of their training sessions ahead of their weekend matches.  The second will take place as usual on Thursday.

In the middle of the week, the Wednesday clubs for pre and primary school kids continue at the Arena.  Pre-school sessions for three to five year olds kick off at half past three until quarter past four for the cost of £3.50 per child per session.  With the 90 minutes session for the P1 - P7 kids starting at 4pm for £5.
 
Our school programme visits two primaries on Thursday.  The Community team will be at Nethermill from quarter to one until quarter to three and at Heathhall for an hour between three and four o'clock. 

Friday is the turn of the Girls to enjoy a football coaching session with our Girl's Only Friday club at the Arena.  It's open to girls of Primary school age and takes place between 4-5pm and comes at a cost of £4.

Also on a Friday from 4pm, our reserve manager, Eddie Warwick continues the Queen of the South Area Squad sessions.  Eddie is overseeing the training of twelve invited players from local boys clubs as they take part in squad training in preparation for the Under 14 team trials in a years time.

After three games at home the first team are back on the road with an away trip to Partick Thistle in the Championship on Saturday.  Kick off at Firhill 3pm.

And on Sunday the under 16 and under 18s sides both have games against Montrose.  The 16s game will be played at the Keswick Centre while the 18s are at Palmerston.  Both games kick off at 2pm.
