Saturday's win over Inverness saw Callum Semple and Adam Frizzell make their final appearances for Queens as their loan spells came to an end and both returned to their parent clubs.
Defender Callum returns to Sheffield United having made 27 appearances for Queens during his time in Dumfries. He made 22 starts at the heart of the defence and played a big part in the number of clean-sheets we have chalked up this season. Scoring once during our two all draw against Morton at Cappielow.
While, midfielder Adam Frizzell heads back to Kilmarnock after 13 appearances, coming off the bench on ten occasions with three starts.
Queens boss Gary Naysmith paid tribute to both players, "I'd personally like to thank both players for their effort and commitment to the club since they joined in the last transfer window. Callum has been a regular starter for us this season whereas Adam's season has been a bit stop start for various different reasons. I hope that when they look back on their spell at the club, both players will feel their time spent at Queen of the South has been beneficial in trying to progress their careers".
Meanwhile, young goal-keeper, Ryan Gibson has now returned to the club after his loan spell at Peterhead finished on Saturday.
