With the first competitive match of 2019/20 just four weeks away, we are today launching an appeal for volunteers to spruce up Palmerston ahead of the visit of Motherwell in the Betfred Cup.
This year’s annual clean-up will take place on Sunday 30th June from 9am and we are looking for as many people as possible to come along to help with litter-picking, sweeping and painting amongst other things to get the ground ready in advance of the new season beginning.
Community coach Dan Armstrong who is organising the clean-up added “If you have some time to help your local team then we would appreciate your support. It doesn’t matter if your available for an hour or available for the duration, any help is welcome. We will be offering refreshments for those who are willing to lend a hand. There will be lot of work to be done as we want to make the ground as appealing as possible”.
