Youth Update

We are delighted to be able to confirm that former QOS striker and fans favourite Sean O'Connor is making a return to Palmerston as one of our youth coaches. He will be working alongside current coaches Wullie Gibson, Andy Irving, Dan Armstrong, Davie Mathison, Stuart Douglas, Ross Newlands, Darren Malin and Neil Murray as the continue their hard work to develop our youth academy.

The youth sides are currently enjoying their close season but plans are already in place for the next campaign and over the past six weeks the club has held open trials. Working closely with the local youth league and clubs 58 young players came along to take part and 13 local boys have been signed and will now filter into the youth set up at Palmerston.

We would like to thank all the coaches who volunteered several hours of their own time to hold the trials. Also, thanks to the league for their cooperation and the clubs for assisting with this process faultlessly. Above all thanks to all the boys that came on trial during this period for their time and effort. And a huge congratulations to the 13 boys who are now Queen of the South Youth players.

We look forward to welcoming all those involved back in August for the resumption of youth football.
