We end our March fixtures with a home game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Tomorrow’s visitors have the upper hand when it comes to results, having won both games 1-0 in the Highlands this season. However, we claimed the victory in Dumfries when under the Palmerston floodlights we edge past them by three goals to two in a re-arranged game. In a highly entertaining match, Alfie Bavidge opened the scoring before a double from Adam Brooks gave us the lead. Keith Bray levelled with 16 minutes remaining only for Jordan Allan to score what proved to be the winner five minutes later.
We currently have a six-point advantage and sit fifth with 39 points, while the visitors are 8th in the table on 33 points after suffering a 15-point deduction earlier in the season.
Ahead of the game tomorrow, Manager Peter Murphy said “Last weekend’s game away at Dumbarton was a day of missed opportunities. We had several good chances in the second half to take maximum points but we didn’t work the keeper hard enough and that’s the disappointing thing. And with other teams dropping points, it was a chance for us to go and put pressure on them.
This week we face a side who would be well in contention if they hadn’t entered administration and had a fifteen points deduction. They’ve proved they’re a very good side who work for each other. However, with the number of injuries we’ve had to defenders, we too have shown in the past couple of games that we can work together to get results.
The two sides served up one of the best games of the season when we played each other at Palmerston the last time around, so let’s hope it’s another enjoyable game with the same outcome.”

We would like to remind supporters that letting off smoke devices is a criminal offence, and anyone found doing so will be referred to Police Scotland. Not only is it against the law, it is also extremely dangerous and a health hazard to other spectators.
