We have this evening added a new face to the squad. Joining on a one-year contract is defender, Stephen Hendrie. The 27-year-old started his career at Hamilton Accies where he made over 100 appearances before moving south to West Ham and loan spells at other English sides including Southend and Blackburn. He also played for Morecambe and Kilmarnock before heading to Firhill last year to sign for Partick Thistle. The full-back has also been capped for Scotland at Under 21 level.

Manager Wullie Gibson said “Stephen has been training with us this week and will certainly add quality to the squad. He has played at a good level and brings good experience. He obviously hasn’t gone through pre-season but has worked hard himself and has kept himself fit. He has trained well this week and has shown a good level of fitness”.

Stephen has been allocated squad number 17 and goes straight into the squad for the visit of Airdrie tomorrow.
