A hat-trick by former Queens favourite, and joint single season scoring record holder, Nicky Clark put a massive dent in Gary Naysmiths play-off hopes.
It took just over half an hour for Dunfermlines top scorer to get his first, rising higher than Brownlie at the back post to head past the diving Leighfield.
He only had to wait 5 minutes to double the home sides lead when the ball broke to him at the edge of the box and he unleashed a right foot shot low into the far corner.
A player who scores slightly less frequently pulled one back for Queens on 69 mintues when Jordan Marshalls low drive seemed to go through the hands of, another ex-Queens player, Robinson in the Dunfermline goal.
Marshall shoots...........
...........and scores
Despite pushing for an equaliser and putting pressure on the home defence the visitors never really looked like equalising and it was left to Clark to wrap up his hat-trick deep into stoppage time. As Brownlie waited for a high cross to come down to clear with his feet, Clark nipped in front and glanced a header past the outstretched hands of Leighfield into the far post.
