It has been a busy day at Palmerston on the paperwork front. We are happy to confirm that terms have been agreed with Kyle Hutton and he has now signed an extension to his current contract taking him through to the end of the season. We have also obtained formal permission from Hibernian for Alex Harris to play for us in the Scottish Cup.
Moving out for the time being though is young left back Shaun Rutherford. Shaun joined us from Livingston in the summer but has found his first team opportunities limited by the form of Jordan Marshall. He has joined Arbroath on a Development Loan for the rest of the season to get more first team football.
Another player moving out of Palmerston this morning on loan is Fraser Morton. The local lad, recently selected for the Scottish Schools side, spent the first half of the season on loan to Heston Rovers and has now joined Dalbeattie Star for the remainder of the season.
Finally, we can confirm that Paul Heffernan will be moving on when his contract expires on Monday. As he is currently injured he won't feature tomorrow. He leaves the club having made 7 appearances (4 starts) and having scored 1 goal, the winner at home to Dumbarton in November. We wish him the best of luck for the future.
