Robbie Thomson Leaves the Club

We can confirm tonight that goalkeeper Robbie Thomson has been released by mutual consent and becomes a free agent before the window shuts. The move will allow Robbie the time to find a new club.

Recruited from Cowdenbeath on a two year contract by James Fowler in the summer of 2015, Robbie was immediately installed as the first choice keeper and started 35 games last season. However, he lost his place to Jim Atkinson towards the end of the campaign and the returning Lee Robinson has made the goalkeeper position his own this season so far. With Atkinson now fit again following a minor knee problem it was agreed to allow Robbie to move on. Everyone at the club wishes him the best of luck for the future.
