Much to the surprise of almost everyone inside Palmerston Park, this afternoon's match with Dundee United was abandoned at half time by referee Craig Thomson.

This match will require to be replayed at a later date. After brief discussion between the two clubs it has been agreed to leave this fixture over meantime. It is not expected to be played until the end of January at least. Arrangements for entry to the rearranged fixture will be confirmed at a later date.

The club sympathises with supporters of both clubs who made the effort to travel to today's game. We hope they will appreciate the abandonment was outwith our control.
