Callum Extends His Stay

Feb 1 2018 19:34

We are pleased to announce that Callum Fordyce has this afternoon signed an extension to his current contract.  The 25 year old defender who joined from Dunfermline during the summer has agreed a new deal which keeps him at Palmerston until the end of next season.  Callum has been a key player for us this season, having made 26 league and cup appearances, contributing three goals including a crucial winner against Dumbarton in August.  He has just returned to the side following a layoff with a hamstring injury that kept him side-lined since November.

Manager Gary Naysmith said “I am delighted to get Callum tied up to the club for another year. He has been a fantastic addition to the squad since we signed him in the summer and his performance levels have been very high and very consistent. Callum is a model professional both on and off the pitch and he is extremely popular amongst the players. He is also quite vocal which is important in helping us develop our young players and he is someone that sets high standards for our younger players to follow. In many ways he is another captain around the club and you can’t have too many of those types of characters in your squad”.
