We have today signed 18 year old Ciaran Dickson on loan from Rangers until the end of the season. The 18 year old central midfielder came through the Rangers Academy and has been training with the first team in recent months. He made his senior debut in their League cup match against Falkirk in 2020 and in January signed a contract extension with the Ibrox club until 2023.
Highly rated by Rangers; Ciaran scored in the 2019 Scottish Youth Cup final, the Glasgow Cup Final, the Alkass Cup Final and the UEFA Youth League. He was also a key player for the side that reached the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup. He has been capped for Scotland at under 16, 17, 18 and 19 levels.
Manager Allan Johnston said “Ciaran clearly has a big future in the game so we are delighted to have him join the squad for the rest of the season. He has been in and around the Rangers first team and has been gaining experience but coming on loan with the chance of regular first team football will hopefully benefit to both him as a player and us as a club. We have established a good working relationship with Rangers and we are grateful to them for letting the loan deal happen”.
Ciaran has been allocated squad number 26 and will be available for our trip to Arbroath at the weekend.
