As manager Allan Johnston reshapes his squad for the run in, we have today signed Darragh O’Connor.

The 22 year old central defender joins us for the rest of the season on loan from Motherwell.

Born in London, Darragh moved to Ireland where he played for Shamrock Rovers and Wexford before signing his first professional contract at Leicester City.  He arrived at Fir Park at the start of the season after signing for Well boss Graham Alexander.

Commenting on the signing AJ said “Darragh is a committed centre half with a good attitude and huge potential. At over 6 foot he will add height to the defence. It’s an area within the team that we needed to strengthen so I’m delighted to have been able to get him in”.

Darragh has been allocated squad number 2.
