We are also pleased to announce that local lad Ross Irving has agreed a new one year contract with the club.

Ross made his debut for the club way back in 2019 under Allan Johnston, having come through the Club Academy programme. Covid ended his first spell at Palmerston and he moved on to Livingston and then Stranraer via loan spells in the Lowland League but he continued to be linked to Queens, working at the King George V facility and he jumped at the chance to return under Wullie Gibson last season. He made 15 appearances this past year, including 4 starts. He was used more latterly under Marvin Bartley and scored his first goal for the club in the SPFL Trust Trophy loss at Hamilton in February.

Ross said, "I'm delighted to sign again. I've spent most of my footballing career to date at Queens and I believe the club will have a great season under the Gaffer. I'm happy he's shown the faith in me to keep me part of his squad. I'm confident I can contribute more next season and I can't wait to get started."

Marvin Bartley added, "Ross is one I've been very pleased with his attitude and what he has shown me in training since I arrived at the club. I think he has something to offer and as a local lad, and supporter of the club, it's important we have boys like that around the squad. His task now is to force his way into the team on a more regular basis now he's 21 years old."
