We start the day with the re-signing of young goalie Charlie Cowie.

The 19-year-old joined us in 2015 as an 11-year-old and has made his way up to the first team through the academy set-up. The Dumfries lad, spent much of last season on loan to junior side Gartcairn where he helped them secure the West of Scotland league first division title.

Charlie said “I’m delighted to have signed for my local team again. Queens have been a big part of my life. Although I was out on loan last season, I did play some games for the first team. It was great experience and I hope we can do well this year”.

Manager, Marvin Bartley added “Charlie is a great young lad who has shown that he can step up to the challenge. It was important for his development that he went out on loan last year to play regular games. Marsh speaks highly of him, so I’m delighted that he is back with the squad.”
