Thomas and Thomson To Join

We can confirm that deals have been agreed to bring winger Dom Thomas in on loan from Motherwell and central midfielder Joe Thomson on loan from Celtic for the rest of the season.

Twenty year old Dom Thomas is from Glasgow and is predominantly left sided but can operate on either wing. He has made almost 40 Premiership appearances to date for Motherwell, most recently being introduced as a half time substitute in their game against Aberdeen last weekend. He will be allocated squad no 23, the same number he has at Motherwell.

Nineteen year old, Paisley born, Joe Thomson may be more familiar to Queens fans having been on loan to Dumbarton for the first half of the season. He played in both their meetings with us. He has two Championship goals already this season including a goal in their 4-4 draw with Ayr United on Christmas Eve. He will be allocated squad number 15.

Unfortunately Joe is cup tied for the Irn Bru Cup having featured for Celtic's u20 squad in the early rounds. However, Dom is not cup tied and will be available to face Dundee United in the semi final.

Both players are expected to join the squad for training when they return on Tuesday and more detailed comments will follow then.
