Match Preview v Inverness CT 231124

Nov 22 2024 15:00

Tomorrow, we welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Palmerston for our next league one match.

We last faced each other at the end of August when Billy McKay’s 19th minute strike from close range settled the match. Since then, the Highland club have suffered financial problems and were deducted fifteen points after entering administration. However, they have quickly got themselves back on positive points and currently sit ninth in the table on four points, three places and 14 points behind us.

Ahead of the match tomorrow, Manager Peter Murphy said “It was a sore one to take at Dumbarton last week. The conditions were far from League one standard and won’t suit most teams in this division, but Dumbarton play it well and scrap for everything, something we should learn from ourselves! Coming away with nothing was bitterly disappointing.

In such a tight league, there are fine margins and unfortunately, we were punished for a mistake at the final whistle. Taking everything into account, I would have settled for a point, but it wasn’t to be.

This weekend, we pick ourselves up for the visit of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. A side who are on a very good run so we will have to be on our guard. Our home form has been excellent this season so far so we will look to keep that going and out last week behind us.

Keep backing the team and enjoy the game.”
