With a few players still on the sidelines, we asked Manager Peter Murphy for an update on where we are in terms of having them back within the squad. His response provided a mixture of good and bad news.
Matty Douglas “Matty is two and a half weeks post operation after having surgery on his cartilage. The prognosis for him is four to six weeks. He is a little bit ahead of schedule, so we'll see how he gets on.”
Brennan Dickenson “Unfortunately, Brendan had a hip flexor injury last week against Cove Rangers and it looks like he's going to be out for the season and into possibly the start of next. It's a long-term injury.”
Jack Brydon “Again, Jack picked up a bad injury to his foot last week at Cove and he has struggled this week. So that's another one that we will just have to wait and see.”
Mikey Hewitt “Mikey has a medial injury on his knee picked up against Stenhousemuir. It’s an injury that even if he feels okay, he still needs to rest. So, I’d say he is still about three to four weeks away maybe.”
Daniel Church “Daniel came back and trained with us for a couple of days, three days and then got a bad back, so he's not available at all.”
