With our game away at Montrose being shown live on BBC Alba, it’s a later start for us tomorrow.
Our trips to Links Park last season were mixed. Doubles from Lee Connelly and Alex Ferguson had us four goals up at half time when we played there in September last year, with Craig Brown scoring a very late consolation in a 4-1 win. While we rounded of the 23/24 campaign in Angus on the final day and that ended in a 3-2 defeat. Two goals from Joel Mumbongo had given us a half time advantage but goals from Liam Callaghan and Aidan Quinn saw the home side turn it around after the break.
In fact, three of the four games last season ended in 3-2 wins for Montrose as they won by the same scoreline both times at Palmerston.
This season they have started with three draws in their opening fixtures, at home to Kelty on the opening day followed by away points at Arbroath and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, respectively. The result leaves them sixth in the table.
Of course, our win over Annan last weekend moved us to joint top on seven points.
