Match Preview v Inverness CT - 21st Jan 25

Jan 20 2025 17:00

Tomorrow, we welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Palmerston for our next league one match, a match that should’ve been played back in November.

We last faced each other at the end of August when Billy McKay’s 19th minute strike from close range settled the match. The Highland side were victorious along the road at Annan on Saturday and despite a fifteen points deduction now sit just four points out of the relegation play-off spot, with a game in hand. They are ten points behind Queens.

Ahead of the match tomorrow, Manager Peter Murphy said “I thought we were excellent throughout the whole game against St Mirren and when you look at the stats, there wasn’t much in it against a top Premiership side. If you are going to go out of the cup, then that is the way to do it and we can take confidence from the way we played.

Inverness are racking up the points after the administration, and if it hadn’t been for the deduction, they would be in the top four at the moment. They are a good side, a strong side, so we just need to make sure we are recovered and ready.”

For safety reasons, QOS have adopted a robust and thorough search policy for spectators entering the ground to ensure that ground rules and regulations are strictly adhered to, especially in relation to pyrotechnic devices and controlled containers. We would like to remind supporters that letting off smoke devices is a criminal offence, and anyone found doing so will be referred to Police Scotland. Not only is it against the law, it is also extremely dangerous and a health hazard to other spectators. All bags will be searched and spectators presenting themselves for entry may also be subject to search. Spectators who refuse to be searched by stewards will be denied entry to the ground.

Palmerston Park is a non-smoking venue; this includes e cigarettes and other such devices. Stewards are empowered to eject spectators who disobey these rules. No persons will be admitted to the ground who are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

The club shop located in the Arena will be open until kick off where you can purchase our club merchandise. Including half-time draw tickets and match day programmes.
