For the first time this season Manager Marvin Bartley was able to field the same starting eleven for back-to-back games with the same side that kicked off against Dundee United in the cup facing Hamilton Accies.
Overnight snow and freezing temperatures cast doubt over the game but thanks to some hard work by the ground staff and volunteers the game was the only one in league one to get the go ahead.

In the opening minute Lee Connellys cross from the left was collected by Ryan Fulton. But with Accies looking to move top of the table, they responded quickly, and Harry Stone had to race off his line to block from Lewis Smith before Josh Todd made the clearance.
However, they did take an early lead when with just four minutes gone Kevin OHara opened the scoring. With Craig McGuffie down inside the Accies box, the home side moved up field and Jamie Barjonas crossed from the right for OHara in the middle of the area to fire past Stone. McGuffie didnt recover from the knock and was replaced by Kieran McKechnie.
Accies were strong and were moving the ball around quickly. Stone made a great one handed save to stop Dylan McGowans header and as the ball was played back across the face of goal it was eventually knocked out for a corner. Scott Martin caught it on the volley, but Stone was again on hand to save.
The home side were controlling the game and Dario Zanatta hit a right foot shot low, aiming for the bottom corner but his shot was wide. The same player forced another save from Stone as Accies peppered the Queens goal, but Efe Ambrose cleared the loose ball.
Midway through the half, Gavin Reilly did well at the corner to play in McKechnie, the winger tried to curl the ball into the top corner but couldnt get enough on it.
Ambrose did have the ball in the net as he headed home a Connelly corner, but the whistle blew for a free kick. In the next move, the defender sliced his clearance at the other end and from the corner, Reghan Tumilty was under pressure from Paul McKay when he headed past the post.
With just over half an hour played Zanatta got the better of McKechnie and as he played the ball across the 18-yard box, Kyle MacDonald hit a powerful shot just wide. As Queens tried to get level Harvey Walker cut the ball back from the by-line but McKechnie and McKay didnt react quick enough.
Then six minutes before the break, the home side extended their lead when Queens passed up a couple of opportunities to stop the ball getting near the box and Smith was at the front post to slot the ball past Stone.
And a minute before the interval more slack defending allowed Tumilty a chance to finish from close range to give Accies a three-goal lead at the break.

Three minutes after the restart, McKechnie fired a left foot shot wide of the upright. But it was the home side who found the net again when a short corner wasnt cleared properly and OHara turned at the edge of the box and fired the ball into the top corner for his second, Accies fourth of the afternoon.
Just before the hour mark, Ryan Fulton showed a strong hand to turn away Reillys effort as it headed for the postage stamp. But Accies always looked a danger and Kyle McClelland cleared as Smith crossed and Cammy Logan tracked back to stop Martin having a shot.
Five minutes from time Queens were reduced to ten men when Kyle Doherty was shown a straight red card.
And substitute Connor Murray rounded off a miserable afternoon when he made it five in the final minute as he raced into the box to send a right foot finish past Stone.
