Queens got off to a promising start at Almondvale this afternoon when Tom Brighton put us ahead on the quarter hour mark.

It was the big striker`s first goal since we won at Kirkcaldy back in October, so no wonder he celebrated in style.

However the homesters pulled one back five minutes prior to the interval with Liam Fox netting.

It remained all square until the 73rd minute when Stefan Scougall found the net to put Livvi in front but then all the real action started.

With 10 minutes left on the clock Craig Barr fouled young Gavin Reilly in the box and Ryan McGuffie made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Right at the death Queens were reduced to 10 men when Craig Reid got his `marching orders` for a second `yellow card` but we held firm to share the spoils.

With all three other matches finishing in draws there was no change whatsoever in the table.

Said an annoyed Gus MacPherson afterwards, "We certainly didn`t deserve to lose but lo and behold after a good start we found ourselves 2-1 down late in the game.

"But we reacted well and looked pretty good for long spells.

"A lot happened in those closing minutes and both Craig Reid and Stephen McKenna will miss out next week. And I`m not happy at that.

"However, we picked up a valuable point away from home and that`s now three games unbeaten which is heartening.

"But what we really need now is to win our home games and give ourselves a chance."
