Alex Harris Joins on Loan

Queen of the South are delighted to announce the signing of Hibernian winger Alex Harris on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

Harris, who turns 21 at the end of this month, made his debut for Hibs in 2012 as an 18 year old and is famously remembered for his performance in the 2013 Scottish Cup Semi Final when he inspired Hibernian's come back from 3-0 down to Falkirk to win 4-3. He has made 50 appearances for Hibernian to date and also played 15 times for Dundee in the Premiership during a five month loan spell last season.

The move ends an extended period of pursuit by James Fowler who was always keen to get Alex on board for this season. We thank Hibernian FC for their co-operation in allowing Alex to come to us. Of course, under SPFL rules Alex will not be able to turn out against his parent club competively so he will be ineligible for games against Hibernian.

Alex has been allocated the number 7 squad number vacated by Paul Burns departure last month.
