Update from the Manager

Well we will be glad to get back to action against Raith Rovers, the two weeks without a game has been far from ideal but there isn’t much we can do about enforced breaks.

Although there hasn’t been a first team game since we played Falkirk, things have been busy as we continue to push to find the correct formula to help us achieve our overall ambition of a top four finish.

That game against Falkirk seems a long time ago now, but we still have it in our minds how we performed that day and it gives us something to build on as we prepare for Raith.  We know there is one or two things that we need to improve but it was certainly more like where we want to be.

Friday night’s game against Raith is against a team who have the same aim as ourselves, to gain a play-off spot and as they sit just ahead of us in the table, we need to make sure we use home advantage to win the game, as it’s games like this one that we really need to be taking maximum points from.

The matches between the two sides are usually close and I don’t expect it to be any different on Friday night.  It will have the added atmosphere of being played under the floodlights and of course in front of a live television audience so we’re hopeful the boys can go out and put on a performance and show the quality that those working with them on a daily basis know they have.

One good thing about not having a game is that the players are refreshed and raring to go.
