Lyndon Dykes Signs On

Jun 7 2016 18:03

We were delighted to welcome a familiar face back to the club today as Lyndon Dykes signed a playing contract for next season. Lyndon, who was born in Australia but has relatives in Dumfries and joint British nationality, was at the club as part of the u20's set up in season 2014/15 but returned to Australia in January 2015. His displays were impressive though in his time here and he had been invited to train with the first team squad. When he left there was an understanding that he would eventually come back to the club if he wanted to continue his career in Scotland again.

The 20 year old striker arrived back in Scotland at the end of last week and will join the first team squad for the coming season once international clearance comes through. Our picture shows him with the new kit, being welcomed to the club by Football Development Manager, Jim Thomson.

Meanwhile, in other news, another friendly has now been confirmed. We will face Penrith away on Wednesday 13th July, 7:30pm kick off. This is likely to be a fringe first team, trialists and u20's mix squad with the first team squad playing Annan the previous night.
