Manager thoughts on Saturdays Dumbarton game

Manager, Gary Naysmith, gave his thoughts on Saturdays penultimate home game against Dumbarton.

"In the three games prior to last weekend's trip to Hibernian I thought we'd done well. We'd taken seven points from the previous nine but at Easter Road you could see why Hibs are going up. They played well and I have no complaints about the final outcome.

Indeed, it was a case of role reversal from the game at Ayr United the week before when I felt that it was us who dominated proceedings from start to finish.

I have now challenged the players to finish 5th in the table. For me that will give us a good platform for next season. We have three games to go now, two of which are at Palmerston, and the target is to pip Dunfermline to that 5th place.

This weekend we play Dumbarton.  We have won one, drawn one and lost one of our three fixtures against Dumbarton this season and that indicates that it will be another closely fought contest.  Dumbarton  are desperate for points and we’ll need to be on our toes from the start we can't just turn up and expect to win, it doesn't happen like that.  Stevie always has his teams well organised and they are difficult to beat."

Team news - We still have players carrying knocks so we will wait until Saturday before deciding our final line-up.
