The Week Ahead

It’s another busy week ahead at Palmerston.

On MONDAY (24th April), the Breakfast Club at Lochside Children’s Services from 8am kick starts events.

At 10am the tickets for Derek Lyle’s Testimonial legends match between Queens and Rangers on Sunday 25th June go on ONLINE sale. Priced £12 and £6, home and away tickets can be purchased via www.qosfc.com

At the same time Walking Football returns from a bank holiday break.  For £3.00 the over 50s can come along and join in the fun.

Later in the afternoon all youngsters are invited to come along to our £1 to Play session which gets underway at five o’clock.  This week is extra special as there will be a visit by the “Trusted Trophy Tour” when kids will have the chance to see first-hand trophies from Scottish Football.

Speedy will be holding his goal-keeping classes run by qualified SFA coaches for boys and girls aged 10 – 16.  The first season for an hour starts at quarter past five with the second session underway at Palmerston from half past six.

Palmerston Lounge is the venue for the latest Supporters Meeting all supporters are invited to come along.  It starts at 7pm.

 

It's a quieter day on TUESDAY (25th April), but the Community team will be running the Breakfast Club at 8am.  The Youth sides and Ladies team will be in for training in the evening.

 

On WEDNESDAY (26th April), the Breakfast Club continues from 8am.  That’s followed by a school visits, by Amisfield from 1100 – 1215. 

The Wednesday Clubs for pre-school and primary school children continue. Pre-school kids are in from 1530 – 1615 with the primary school kids club taking place from 1600 – 1730.

 

On THURSDAY (27th April), Breakfast Club kick starts the day from 8am at Lochside Children’s Services.

Our Disabled Access Officer, Eric Slaven will be meeting up with representatives from other clubs today as he attends the Scottish Disabled Supporters Association meeting.

At 3pm – Heathhall have a school visit.

The youth sides and ladies teams are back in training ahead of their weekend games.

Football Fans in training continue their fitness campaign with healthy living advice and exercise.

And at half past seven, the 21st annual shirt draw takes place.  We will get our first look at the playing kit for next season and find out who will have their name on the front of it for season 2017/18.

 

On FRIDAY (28th April), the final Breakfast Club of the week takes place at 8am.

There’s another school visit at 9am, this time the turn of St Michaels.

And in the afternoon it’s the turn of the girls to have their chance to play football as the Community team hold the weekly Girls Club.

 

SATURDAY (29th April) is match day for the first team; they have their penultimate game in the Championship away to FALKIRK. 

It’s also match day for the girls teams, the Devils and Rapids are both away to Heston while the Doonhamers have a home game against Bonnyton.  Held at Greystone 3G, the game kicks off at 10am.

 

On SUNDAY (30th April); the under 13s, under 15s and under 17s all head to Perth to face ROSS COUNTY in their respective games.

 

The facilities within the Arena and KGV are available to book and don’t forget the Club shop and the Arena café are open throughout the week.

Also the Queens lottery continues with the chance to win £50 or £25 from Monday to Friday, £500 on a Saturday and of course for those in the deluxe draw the monthly chance to win £1000 (£3000 at Christmas or a new car at the end of the season) – details of how to enter are online.

 

Dates for your dairy:-

1st May – voting for the Junior Blues Player of the Year closes.  Members can vote online or in person using the voting slips and box available at the Arena.

6th May - the final game of the season home to Dunfermline.  Also the day one lucky winner will go home with a brand new car.

25th June – Derek Lyle’s Testimonial Match – Queens v Rangers Legends, 2pm at Palmerston.
