Manager's Thoughts On Falkirk Game and Team News

The Manager has been giving his thoughts as we prepare for our final away game of the season, our penultimate match of the 2016/17 Championship season away at Falkirk.

"I think everyone by now knows my feelings on how last weeks game against Dumbarton went.  The players know that apart from the first twenty minutes it wasn't good enough and no where near the standards that we expect, but everything that needs to be said has been and we move on.

This week the players have been outstanding in training and produced some of their best sessions; the challenge now is for them to transfer that onto the pitch against Falkirk on Saturday.

The Falkirk Stadium is always a hard place to go and with them fully focused on clinching promotion via the play-offs it certainly isn't going to be an easy afternoon for us.  But we still have plenty to play for of our own,  we need to make sure we get something this week so that we can go into the last game of the season against Dunfermline with a real chance of finishing fifth.  In order to do that, with them having a better  goal difference, we need to give ourselves the best chance by taking something from Falkirk.

If the players perform the way I know they are more than capable of doing then I believe we can pick up a positive result".

The team news ahead of the trip is that Derek Lyle has been back training this week, so with Steven Rigg the only player still out injured we are almost back to full strength for the penultimate game of the season.
