Manager Thanks Ross And Welcomes Ryan

As reported earlier this month we will have a new face within the backroom staff for the next campaign as Physio, Ryan Wilkie joins us from Partick Thistle to replace Ross Goodwin who has returned to his former club, Kilmarnock.

Manager Gary Naysmith is disappointed to see Ross leave but is happy with the appointment of Ryan.

"I'm gutted, absolutely gutted that Ross is leaving.  I spoke to him and he was very complimentary of the six months that we've worked together, he didn't want to leave the club but financially it was to good an offer for him to turn down.  He's got a young family to support and I fully understand his reasons to move on.  He is a fantastic physio and fitted right into the mind set of Dougie and I, I can't speak highly enough of him as a person or a physio.  He goes with our best wishes".

"But things change, people move on and we've recruited Ryan.  I managed his brother Kyle at East Fife so I know the family, he had a promising career but had to retire through injury, he wanted to keep fit so asked if he could join us for a pre-season, so we already know each other.  He's a young lad learning his trade but is fully qualified and has been working the dual role at Partick, he sees this as the next stage of his career and for me age doesn't matter".

"He comes with an excellent CV, Ross had an input into his appointment, he knew him and vetted him so we can't wait for him to start".
