Blue Sunday and wreath collection

With just under two weeks until our Irn Bru Cup quarter final tie away at The New Saints, the Queen of the South SLO Committee are making plans to mark the occasion as well as paying their respects to those lost in battle.

With the game falling on Remembrance Sunday, they are currently collecting to raise money to buy a wreath which will be laid by several Queens Supporters on behalf of the club and fans at the Memorial Gates on Church Street in Oswestry prior to the game.  Collections will be held on the buses travelling to Cappielow this weekend but donations can be given to SLO Committee members, Ross Corbett, Nathan Maxwell, Iain Wright or Simon Clingan.

The Committee would like to thank those who have already donated to the appeal, especially the Doonhamers Travel Club who have very generously donated from club funds.

Any remaining money following the purchase of the wreath will be forwarded to The Poppy Appeal.

The Committee are also urging fellow supporters to help them "Paint Oswestry Blue".

They'd like ALL Queens supporters making the trip to Shropshire to show their support by wearing blue and turning The Park Hall Stadium the colour of Queens!  They really hope to create an atmosphere to help send the club through to the last four of the competition.
