Dumbarton Preview

The games are coming thick and fast for us just now and after a bitterly disappointing result against Livingston at the weekend, we are at Dumbarton tomorrow evening <Tues> for a rearranged game in the Championship.  Games between the two are usually fairly tight, with Callum Fordyce scoring the only goal of the game to give us a one - nil win at Palmerston back in August.

Manager Gary Naysmith looks ahead to the game.

"We were well off our game on Saturday and there is no argument that the best team won on the day, but that game has gone now and although we can't forget it we have to move on and our focus is now fully on the game against Dumbarton.

They are a decent side and are very good at what they do, they work hard and are well organised, there is no doubt that this will be a very difficult game for us. They picked up a good result with a draw at Dunfermline at the weekend and will take confidence from that and they will have looked at our result and look to take advantage.  They will be thinking we are on a low and will take the game to us so we need to match that first and then go and cause them problems.

I have a lot of time and admiration for Stevie and Ian, they don't have the biggest budget but always seem to put together a good squad that fight and work hard as well as having some players with a bit of quality.  They always seem to be able to pull out a result when they need to.

We are going there on the back of a disappointing performance so we really need to be at it and show Saturday was a one off.

We will have a look and assess the squad as we may well freshen things up a wee bit.  Kyle Jacobs red card on Saturday means he will be suspended for this one and Dan Carmichael is the one player injured and won't be available".

Kick off at The YOUR radio 103 FM Stadium is 7.45pm.
