White Ribbon Campaign

On this International Women's Day we feel it's an appropriate time to show our continued support to the White Ribbon Campaign.

Queen of the South FC continue to work alongside the Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women Partnership to raise awareness of domestic abuse and other forms of violence which mainly affects women and girls.

This week, Luis Pombo held a talk with our under 20's squad to outline what the campaign is about.

Dan Armstrong, Queens Community coach said: "We are delighted to support the local White Ribbon Campaign. This is another opportunity to raise awareness of domestic abuse and the harm experienced by anyone who suffers it. Together we can end this and the local White Ribbon Campaign gives people in Dumfries and Galloway an opportunity to do something about it."

Davy Thompson, Campaign Director of White Ribbon Scotland added "I am delighted with the on-going association between Queen of the South FC, the Dumfries and Galloway Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women Partnership and White Ribbon Scotland. If men are going to help eliminate violence against women it is essential that local role models stand up to be counted. The work with Queen of the South over the years and currently with the Under 20s team is invaluable to creating a better and more equal society in the future."
