As Gary Naysmith reshapes the squad for next season, we are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Josh Todd. The 23 year old midfielder who spent the latter part of the last campaign on loan from St Mirren has agreed a one year deal.
We can also confirm that young striker, Ross Fergusson has agreed a new deal for 2018/19.
The manager added "I am delighted we have been able to secure Josh as a Queen of the South player for next season following his release from St Mirren. In the eight games he played for us after joining on loan, his performances were very good and very consistent and he gave us a good balance in our midfield. It's no coincidence that since he came into the team our performances and results improved remarkably. Josh is a hard working, technical player who can play in a number of positions and I am looking forward to working with him permanently next season".
"Ross has shown in his eight or nine first team appearances that he can be a real asset for us next season. He has a lot of attributes that a modern day striker requires. This season, his campaign has been very stop start due to niggling injuries and illnesses and we are hopeful that he can remain fit for next season and really challenge Lyndon and Stephen for a starting position in the team".
