Inverness CT Match Preview

We are back on the road again this weekend when we make the trip to the Highlands to face inform Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

After being relegated from the Premiership tomorrows opponents took a little bit of time to get used to the Championship but once they found their feet, they hit a run of form and haven't looked back. They are currently seventeen games unbeaten, leaving them the only team in the Championship who haven't tasted defeat so far this season.

We failed to get the better of them last season, with the first two games ending goal-less and the others finishing in three - one and two - nil victories for John Robertson's side.

Something Queens boss Gary Naysmith would love to rectify.

"Inverness have a wee bit of everything, they are a big strong side who play nice football. They are on an incredible run at the moment. We know how tough it is to string a few results together in the league so to go as many games without losing is impressive.

Like everyone else, not losing breeds confidence and they are a team playing with confidence.

There was disappointment within the squad after our game at Partick last week as we felt we deserved something from the game. We have looked at the fifteen minutes where we lost the goals and we know its not acceptable so we've been working on those areas so that the same mistakes don't happen again.

But for the other seventy-five minutes I though we played well and more than matched Thistle, who lets not forget a very good side.

We have allowed Charlie Exley and Dean Watson to go out on loan to Gretna for the next three months. I just feel at this stage of the season, although they will still train with us and play for the reserves, it's better for them to go out and gain more experience by playing regularly on a Saturday in a competitive league.

Otherwise we will have the same squad a last weekend as Darren Brownlie is still in rehab and although Callum Fordyce is back training, it is still touch and go if he will be ready for this weekend".

Kick off at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on Saturday is 3pm.
