Inverness CT Match Preview

This weekend we start a run of three home games, when Inverness Caledonian Thistle visit Palmerston. John Robertson's side are on a fantastic unbeaten run at the moment in the Championship, the run does involve a few draws including one against us back in September when we fought out a goal-less draw in the Highlands.

Queens boss Gary Naysmith has been reflecting on last weekend's draw against league leaders, Ayr United and looking ahead to the game against Inverness.

"I was pleased to come away from Somerset Park with a point last Saturday. Up until then, Ayr had a 100% record on their own patch and from that perspective it was pleasing to get a point.

I tried to start the game by playing a more attacking formation from the start but it didn't really work. We didn't keep the ball well enough and we couldn't counter-attack the way I wanted us to and this allowed Ayr to have the better of the first half. We let the players know at half-time that it wasn't good enough and we did far better after the restart.

It was a disappointing goal for us to concede but we didn't dwell on it and we kept going which really pleased me and I was delighted for young Connor that he made an immediate impact from the bench. The goal will hopefully do him the world of good. He hasn't been playing as often as he would have liked so far this season but his attitude has been terrific and he's a great lad to have around the club.

This weekend we take on my old pal John Robertson's side. I must congratulate him and his team on their current unbeaten league run of 24 games. That takes some doing at this level and it's gone under the radar a bit because of the amount of drawn games that they've had but it's still some achievement.

It's like I always say, you can't win every game but it's important that when you can't win, you do your best to make sure you don't lose the game. Clearly, Inverness have made themselves a very difficult team to beat.

This is the first of three straight home matches for us now, with the Cup and then Partick Thistle to come. It's a period that we must make the most of because the Championship table will start to become a wee bit more stretched over the coming weeks and we need to keep ourselves in the mix.

We have no fresh injury concerns for this one".

There will be on-street restrictions, therefore it is suggested that buses/minibuses drop off their passengers in Terregles St/King Street and thereafter park on College Mains road just off the roundabout with the A76 on the town bypass (adjacent to Curry's/PC World, as the other side at Aldi is the access road to the ambulance depot and is extremely busy). Pick up should be the same location.

Wheelchair access for away supporters is on the south side of BDS Digital stand. There is a lay-by on King Street for vehicles to drop their passengers for flat access to the ground. Disabled parking is available on the north side of the BDS Digital Stand or at the Arena car park. The cost of entry of one personal assistant is included in the price of the accessible ticket.

Car parking is available in the Arena car park, alternatively there is plenty of other on & off street parking available around the stadium.

We are not aware of any roadworks around Dumfries that would affect travel times to Palmerston Park however fans should check the Traffic Scotland website at http://trafficscotland.org/index.aspxfor confirmation and of any other delays.

QOS have adopted a robust and thorough search policy for spectators entering the ground to ensure that ground rules and regulations are strictly adhered to, especially in relation to pyrotechnic devices and controlled containers. All bags will be searched and spectators presenting themselves for entry may also be subject to search. Spectators who refuse to be searched by stewards will be denied entry to the ground.

Palmerston Park is a non-smoking venue, this includes e cigarettes and other such devices. Stewards are empowered to eject spectators who disobey these rules. No persons will be admitted to the ground who are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

All spectators are required to abide by our policy on unacceptable behaviour .

Our Saturday Club for Kids that's held prior to every Saturday home game takes place at the Arena from 12.30. It's a great opportunity for primary school kids to learn new skills whilst having fun along with their peers. Two hours of training and games before they enjoy a packed lunch ahead of watching the first team in action. Not only is it great fun, it's great value for money at £10 per child (which covers the two hour session, lunch and entry to the game) or £8 for junior blue season ticket holders. No need to pre-register just sign in at the Arena at 12.30.

The match has a 3pm kick off.
