Show Racism the Red Card

Everyone at Queen of the South is proud to support the Show Racism the Red Card fortnight of action.

As per previous seasons, we along with all the other SFPL clubs are backing the campaign to increase awareness of the work that SRtRC do in Scotland.  This year’s fortnight of action will take place from the 4th – 20th of October.

All professional clubs will show their support for the campaign this coming weekend prior to the fixtures scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday to emphasis Scottish Footballs stand against racism and to call for an end to racism in football and society.

We urge all supporters to back the campaign.

We believe that it is vital to highlight the anti-racism message at this time of year as it runs alongside Football Against Racism in Europe’s (FARE) Football People Weeks.

Club Captain, Stephen Dobbie said "There is no place for racism in football or anywhere in today's society. At Queen of the South we will not tolerate racism and, as club captain, I am delighted to have been appointed the Club Ambassador for the 'Show Racism the Red Card' Campaign. We fully support the aims of this campaign."

Football is a sport that is followed by people across the world and football matches should be an enjoyable experience for all, whatever their background. We all have a part to play in challenging racism in football and society.
