Match Preview v Dundee

After a break for the William Hill Scottish Cup we return to league action this weekend with a trip to Dundee.

Our meeting earlier in the season during the first round of fixtures ended in a one all draw.  In the game broadcast live on BBC Scotland back in September, Jordan McGhee cancelled out Jack Hamilton’s opener.

Looking ahead to the game, Manager Allan Johnston said:

“It was a major blow being knocked out of the cup last weekend.  Everyone wants to go as far as they can in the competition, so to fall at the first hurdle is really disappointing.  We all know it was nowhere near good enough as no one earned pass marks on the day.  We can’t brush it under the carpet as we have to learn from it but we do have to move on and that has already started during training this week.

As a player when results don’t go for you it’s about how you react.  You want to bounce back quickly and in order to do that you work even harder.

There are no easy games in football, this week we head to Dundee for what is another hard game.  It’s always a hard place to go so we know we have to be better than we were last week, both defensively and going forward.  We need to take our chances when they come our way.

We have belief in the players as they have proved previously that they can compete at this level and I’m sure we will get the positive reaction that we are looking for to try to get us back on track”.

For supporters travelling to Tayside, ticket prices are:-

£24 Adults
£16 Senior Citizens / Students
£10 Under 18's

For this game, Dundee are offering a promotion which allows under 12's to purchase a ticket in advance for just £2 when purchasing along with either an Adult or a Senior Citizen / Student.  Please note this offer is ONLY available for advance purchases and will NOT be available on the day of the game.  Dundee have sent us some advance tickets to enable anyone taking an U12 to the match to buy their tickets in advance.  Anyone wishing to take advantage of this offer can purchase their tickets from the Queens Club Shop during normal office hours up until lunchtime today (Friday).

We do not have advance tickets available for general sale so all other supporters not travelling with a child under 12 should purchase their ticket on arrival.

This weekend, SPFL Clubs will take part in  a weekend of action to promote the Rainbow Laces campaign.  The campaign to raise awareness of collective support of LGBT equality and inclusivity in sport got underway last week and runs until the 8th of December.  But across the board clubs are being encouraged to show their support during games played this weekend.

Kick off 3pm.
