Ross Stewart and David Devine have today completed their loan moves from Livingston and Motherwell respectively and joined the rest of the team for training this morning.
Ross is a 24 year old goal-keeper who began his career at Motherwell and joined St Mirren from Albion Rovers before moving to West Lothian, while, David is an 18 year old central defender who joined his local club’s academy and made his debut for the Fir Park first team at the age of 17.
Manager Allan Johnston said “It is no secret that we are light in numbers so I am delighted to have added two players to the squad ahead of our game against Alloa this weekend. It was a blow to us earlier in the week when Robby McCrorie was recalled by Rangers, so adding a keeper became a priority for us. Both players are still young but are over 6 foot tall so bring height to the team. Ross needs to be playing first team football so will benefit from playing in the Championship, while David is only 18 but has a big future in the game”.
