We are delighted to announce that defender James Maxwell has today joined us on a season long loan from Rangers.

The 18 year old was previously part of the youth systems at Ayr United and Falkirk before joining the Ibrox side after the Bairns decision to scrap their academy.

Manager Allan Johnston said “Left back wasn’t an area that we had prioritised but following the departure of Kevin Holt we had to look for a replacement.  James is young but has great potential.  We are grateful to Rangers for agreeing to let him join us. We hope he does as well for us as Robby McCrorie did and we can help him develop."
