TV Trial Friendly Win v Threave

Queens met Threave in friendly action at Palmerston for the 2nd time in 2 weeks tonight. The match was mainly arranged to get some match time for Stephen Dobbie and Joe McKee and was otherwise quite a young squad but they saw out a 3-0 win that was probably well deserved in the end but the visitors were unlucky to be behind at half time having struck the post from close range and carried a threat.

There had been chances at both ends by the time Stephen Dobbie grabbed his first of the season with a typically cool finish after about half an hour. He seized on a rebound in the penalty area to plant the ball into the bottom right corner. Dobbie and McKee made their exits after about an hour but the lead was doubled in somwhat controversial style when Tommy Goss dinked a rebound from the keeper towards goal and the assistant referee adjudged it had crossed the line before it was cleared. It looked a fortunate decision. A 3rd goal followed with about 20 minutes left when Kieran McKechnie burst forward on the right and placed a low shot into the bottom left corner from about 20 yards.

The match was also used as a trial for QoSFCTV Live and around a dozen watchers were able to view the game online using our new platform as revealed earlier today. There were no problems at all with the trial and we will be moving the system forward and providing further information soon.
