We are pleased to announce that we have today added Rhys Breen to our squad. Rhys who turned 21 yesterday (6th Jan) joins us on loan from Rangers until the end of the season. The centre back is contracted to the Ibrox club until the summer after signing an extension in 2019. However, he recently had a spell with Partick Thistle, spending the first part of the season at Firhill.

Manager, Allan Johnston said “We would like to thank Rangers for allowing Rhys to join us on loan. It is no secret that with only four recognised defenders in the squad, it was an area that we wanted to strengthen when the transfer window opened to give us more competition. Rhys is still young but is highly thought of and is recognised as a player with a big future in the game”.

Rhys trained with us this morning and will be in the squad for our William Hill Scottish Cup Tie away at Queens Park tomorrow evening.
