We are pleased to welcome Paul McKay to Palmerston as the 24-year-old joins us from League One side Airdrie.

The defender who can also play in midfield was part of the side who just missed out on promotion last season.

Paul who started as a youth with Doncaster Rovers was also on the books of Leeds, Cardiff and Morecombe before he joined the Diamonds in 2019.

He comes from a footballing family, twin brother Jack played as a striker for Chesterfield, while his older Brother, Mark and Father Willie are both agents in the game.

Manager Allan Johnston added “Paul was one of Airdrie’s top players last season as they pushed for a place in the Championship so we are delighted to have him on board. Although predominantly a centre back he can also play in midfield which gives us other options. At 24 he is a good age and I’m looking forward to working with him”.
