Tanner Fund Clarity

As a Board we are disappointed to have today received an email informing us that the QOS Tanner Fund committee have taken the decision to cease the fund.

We would like to clarify the situation.

We have held a number of meetings with the organisers to listen to their ideas of how the fund would operate. With the money collected by the Tanner Fund coming from supporters we want to make sure that their hard earned cash, donated during very difficult times isn’t wasted.

The Management team are aware that the money is available, but so far they have been unable to find the right player that would benefit the club to the extent that the Tanner Fund money merits.

It is not a case of us not being interested or not wanting the generous support and help from the Tanner Fund it is simply that we want to do what’s right for all involved and don’t want to take the money just for the sake of it.

What happens to the fund is up to the Committee but we would like to place on record our appreciation of their efforts and would happily again discuss the situation with them.

The club is going through a difficult time on the park and we fully understand the frustration of the supporters. We are all fans ourselves and want the best for the club, it’s at times like this that we need to stick together and be as positive as we can be.
