Our next signing for 22/23 is another who will be familiar to Queen fans and who knows the club well. Connor Murray has returned following two years at Partick Thistle, during which he helped the Jags to win this division. Connor is a product of St Mirren's Club Academy programme but joined Queens the first time in 2015. He quickly established himself in the Development side and also had a successful half season loan at Gretna 2008 before becoming a regular member of the first team squad under both Gary Naysmith and Allan Johnston. His highlights included scoring in both semi final and final of the 2019 playoffs as we defeated Montrose and Raith Rovers to secure Championship status. The lure of a two year deal at Thistle took him away from the club during the uncertain Covid affected close season of 2020 but he returns with the aim of getting another promotion from League One.
Connor has signed a one year deal with the opportunity to earn a second year built in to it and put pen to paper when pre-season training began this morning. We are delighted to welcome him back.
