We can confirm that following negotiations, agreement has been reached with Partick Thistle for a Compensation Fee in respect of Aidan Fitzpatrick, who duly signed for the Firhill club this morning. Manager Wullie Gibson was keen to keep hold of Aidan if at all possible for the League One promotion campaign but the player's desire to move on and continue to play at Championship level was clear early on in discussions. With the conclusion of an agreement, we can now draw a line under things and everyone at Queen of the South would like to wish 'Fitzy' the best of luck in his future career.
