Cowie Goes Back to Gartcairn

Now that both Kevin Dabrowski and Gordon Botterill are registered and eligible for the first team, young Charlie Cowie has returned to Gartcairn FC for the remainder of the season.

Charlie had a very successful first half of the season on loan to the Airdrie based West of Scotland League club, playing regular first team adult football and impressing manager Mick Dunlop. The situation around Max Currie's injury and subsequent transfer, together with delays in getting Gordon Botterill registered meant Charlie had to be recalled for a few weeks. He played twice for the first team against Clyde and Alloa without letting anyone down but with the goalkeeper situation now sorted Gartcairn were very keen to get him back and Charlie was keen to return. A deal has now been sorted out and Charlie will be available for their game tomorrow. The loan agreement of course allows for emergency recall if necessary due to injury to one of the other goalkeepers.

Everyone at Palmerston wishes Charlie the best of luck for the rest of the season.
