Match Preview v Dunfermline (A) - 15th April 2023

Tomorrow, we head to Dunfermline for our penultimate away game of the league one season.

The league leaders who are on the verge of claiming the title have taken seven points from our three games so far this season with two wins and a draw. The victories were both at Palmerston and both had a 2-0 score-line. Nikolay Todorov and Rhys Breen scored first half goals back in September while in February it was goals from Craig Wighton and Kyle Benedictus that secured the win.

On our visit to East End Park in December, Ruari Paton scored right on the stroke of half-time to give us the lead only for Todorov to equalise in the second half to claim a share of the points.

A point or matching Falkirk’s result tomorrow will see the Pars secure a return to the Championship after being relegated along with us last season. But we are on a good run of form and are unbeaten in our last six matches.

After last week’s game, Manager Marvin Bartley praised the players for their gritty performance that claimed the win over Alloa that pulled us to within touching distance of the play-offs. But he isn’t happy to settle for six unbeaten he wants to go out and give a performance to make it seven.
