Match Preview v Annan Athletic (A) - 21st October

A short trip for us this weekend as we make the journey along the A75 to face Annan for the first time in a competitive league match at Galabank.

Our one previous league meeting came earlier in the season when we ran out 3-1 winners at Palmerston, coming from behind to claim the three points.

Ahead of the game, manager Marvin Bartley said “A local derby is always special, we know what it means to everyone involved at the club. At the end of the day, it is three points but it’s about bragging rights, so it’s a big game and one with high expectations.

We haven’t been on a great run of form, but form goes out the window, not just because it’s a derby match. You can’t go into a game thinking about what’s happened previously, you have to deal with the here and now.

We are heading in the right direction getting players back and hopefully we will have a few more back amongst the squad again tomorrow.”

SUPPORTERS INFORMATION

There’s a capacity of 920 tickets set allocated to Queens fans for the game tomorrow. As of first thing this morning, we had sold just over half of the allocation.

There will be no cash taken at the turnstiles and visiting supporters are advised to buy their tickets online, in advance.

Ticket sales for visiting supporters on the day will be from the ticket office at the home end of the ground. However, we would encourage all supporters attending to buy online in advance if they can.

Visiting fans should buy their tickets for Zone 4, this is the away end located at the North end of the ground. Entrance to this area is from the turnstiles (training area) and supporters should note that this area is uncovered, and suitable clothing should be worn depending on the forecast.

Limited seating (120 Seats) will be available in the Monk and Scott Stand and this will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Due courtesy and consideration should be given to those who have the most need.

We understand that a lot of our fans are making the trip by train, but for those travelling by car, North Street will be coned off for parking and there will be ample parking within the town centre, a short walk to the ground. Anyone parking should do so with respect to the locals.

The Social Club will be open from 12pm and will be showing the Liverpool v Everton match at 12:30. Visiting fans are welcome in the club, but entry will be refused once capacity is reached.

Kick off at Galabank tomorrow is 3pm.
